Soledad 36" x 48"

I was at a Christmas party at a friends house when I met this model.  After discussing the possibilities of her being in one of my paintings, we got to the part of the setting and background.  I was very surprised when she took me to her fathers house!  When we arrived, it seemed like an ordinary house, but as I walked into the doorway, I was in aw!  What a great surprise!  The whole place looked like a Peruvian Palace.  Of course I was drawn to the large mirror on the dresser in the bedroom.  The only thing I had to do was to take the TV off of the dresser, and add the candles, the candle snuffer, and three items you might recognize from Romance de la Noche, the jewelry box, the lantern, and the silver brush.  The rest is all authentic Peruvian furniture from their homeland.  This piece took approximately 7 months of layer application.
